Dr. Ana M. García is the founder of Anchor Clinical Psychology, LLC and a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Psychologist serving clients in Virginia, Florida, and Puerto Rico. With a strong foundation in clinical training and experience across diverse settings, Dr. García provides compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based therapy to adults.

 

Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and trauma-informed interventions to help clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral challenges. Dr. García is dedicated to creating a supportive, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel understood and empowered to achieve meaningful personal growth.

 

Dr. García completed a Postdoctoral Residency in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Women’s Mental Health at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System. Her advanced clinical training includes:

 

• Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI)

• Certification in Sexual Therapy

• Specialized experience in sexual abuse and trauma treatment

• Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE)

In addition to therapy, Dr. García conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations for ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and mood disorders, using instruments such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, and MIGDAS-2.

 

Her clinical expertise is informed by years of service in diverse communities, including work with veterans, women’s mental health, and multicultural populations.
