Meet Dr. Cardona
Adriana Cardona Rivera, Psy.D., Resident in Psychology
I take a strengths-based approach, tailoring evidence-based therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals. I especially enjoy working with adults navigating significant life transitions or experiencing high levels of anxiety. My work focuses on helping clients improve relationships, manage anxiety, navigate complex family and cultural dynamics, and develop healthier daily patterns. I am particularly attentive to the mind-body connection and understand how stress can manifest both emotionally and physically.
I use an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and relational strategies. I thoughtfully combine these frameworks to support each client’s growth and progress, ensuring that my interventions are grounded in research and best clinical practices.
I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and have extensive experience working with multicultural issues that shape identity, self-perception, mood, relationships, and overall life perspective. My commitment to culturally sensitive care helps clients feel understood and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
